About telemeter.ai
An honest instrument for what your AI actually costs.
Most tools show you what you already spent. telemeter is built to tell you what to fix — and to stop the bill before it runs away. Underneath all of it is one rule: we never invent a number.
Why it exists
AI spend is easy to observe and hard to control. Dashboards report what a run cost after the fact; provider budgets send an alert, then let the bill keep climbing. telemeter starts from the opposite end — detect the problem, recommend the fix, and (for the Spend Firewall) actually enforce a hard cap.
The free tools came first on purpose. Before there is a product to sell, there is a set of small, exact utilities — cost, tokens, context windows, model comparisons — sitting over a sourced, effective-dated pricing registry. When two independent sources agree, a price is shown as verified. When they don’t, it’s labelled pending and no figure is shown. Nothing is guessed to fill a gap.
What we’re building
Three products, one thesis — detect, recommend, enforce, prove:
The Firewall, Signals, and Prompt CMS are planned and in development — every page that describes them says so. What’s live today is the free tools, the public API, MCP server, and docs.
The promises we hold ourselves to
- No fake product claims.Planned capabilities are labelled planned. We don’t dress a roadmap up as a shipping feature.
- Verified or labelled — never guessed. Every price and model fact carries its source and the date it was checked. Pending and stale data stay visible instead of being smoothed over.
- Open core, Apache-2.0. The core is open source, with a self-host path that runs free — you pay for infrastructure, not a licence.
- No per-seat pricing, ever. Users are not a billing unit. Prices are tied to usage, not to how many people log in.
- EU-native by architecture. Regional storage, explicit sub-processors, and exportable telemetry are design constraints — not a compliance badge. We say plainly what is deployed and what is still planned.
Who’s behind it
telemeter.ai is an independent product from Foldox Limited. It’s early — built in the open, one careful piece at a time, by a small team. The fastest way to reach us is founder@telemeter.ai; the same address handles data requests, tool bug reports, and anything else.
The full processing chain and legal surface are published for transparency on the sub-processors and privacy pages.
